Continental Tide was recently awarded a Prime Contract Task Order providing engineering, technical and administrative services to NSWCCD-SSES (NAVSEA Philadelphia), Auxiliary Automation Branch (Code 925). During the execution of this contract Continental Tide will provide prototype modification kits, material identification and procurement, engineering drawings and specifications, pre-fabrication, ILS and material handling (consisting of kitting, temporary storage, transportation and quality assurance), shipboard Installation support and program management services. Continental Tide working with AMSEC LLC was recently awarded a $9,000,000.00 Delivery Order to provide programmatic, engineering, technical and logistics support to the US NAVY, MSC and USMC Expeditionary and Amphibious Assault Systems and Equipment.
This delivery order will include modernization initiatives, system assessments and grooms, system operability testing, drawing and technical manual development, material fabrication and support. Ship specific tasks will be on USN and MSC ships.
These initiatives are designed, developed, planned and installed with a combination of technical representatives from NSWCCD-SSES Code 91 and 97 and Continental Tide.
Systems & Equipment included in this Delivery Order include Side Port Doors, Hinged Vehicle Ramps, Winch assemblies, Dogging systems, Stern Gate, Vertical Package Conveyors, Pallet Conveyors and Dumbwaiters, Helo Hangar, Aircraft Elevators, external, internal and tactical communication and all associated electrical and mechanical components and equipment.

Specific systems and equipment included in this Delivery Order include; Ballast, JP5 and other fuels, Lube Oil, Fuel Oil, LP & HP air, demineralized, potable and seawater systems, pumps, valves, actuators, PLCs, electronics and other associated system machinery and equipment. Continental Tide is extremely excited about this opportunity and looks forward to providing continual support to the US NAVY and NSWCCD-SSES.
The Continental Tide team poses for a photo after a recent training event. The training included Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Safety Certification training sponsored by American Heart Association, Inc. and OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Training was held at our Chesapeake office with an emphasis safely identifying and managing life-threatening medical emergencies while in a ship yard and ship environment. This team event focused on information, assessment, and skills that will protect life or prevent further injury during the interval between an incident and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) arrival.
