Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. received a $98 million contract from Military Sealift Command for general ship repair work on the east coast of the United States.
The ship work includes, but is not limited to, compressor, boiler, pipe, valve, pump, motor and insulation repairs; lagging renewal; painting; non-skid renewal; cleaning and gas freeing; mobile crane service; rigging service; staging and scaffolding service; ventilation system cleaning; galley system repairs; structural repairs; air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance and repair, and ventilation ducting fabrication and installation.
Contract work will also include, but is not limited to, ship’s cranes repairs and weight tests, hydrostatic test and refilling of gas cylinders, main propulsion and electrical generator maintenance and repairs, underwater hull and propeller inspection and cleaning, RHIB and lifeboat and davit maintenance and repair, navigation system maintenance and repair, anchor windlass and steering hydraulic systems maintenance and repair, and inspecting, repairing, testing and certifying ordnance handling equipment and providing redline drawings.
Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. was awarded a five (5) year Multiple Award contract supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. The contracted work will focus on coordination and planning of all the engineering and technical support services for Hull, Deck, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) machinery and systems.
The engineering and technical support services will be accomplished in all areas where Foreign Military, U.S. Navy, and MSC ships operate and are homeported. These services will be accomplished in whole or in phases that minimize interruption in ship operating schedules while maximizing the capacity of Type Commander and NAVSEA agencies to upgrade and modernize systems.
Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. was recently awarded a contract from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) for Pier Side Technical Assistance.
The scope of work includes technical services, labor, material, support services and equipment to accomplish a full range of depot level repairs and alterations, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and removal of main and auxiliary, hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) equipment and systems onboard U.S. Navy or other military type vessels including submarines.
